A fresh force for good!
Small Changes.
Big Impact. Join us in making a difference, one cup, one meal, one choice at a time.
At Fika, we believe in doing things the right way. Sustainability isn’t just a trend, it’s our commitment to people, the planet, and ethical business practices.
We’ve set industry-leading sustainable standards to ensure that every cup of coffee, every bite of food, and every decision we make has a positive impact.
The Bloom Coffee Academy
Through our not-for-profit social enterprise, the Bloom Coffee Academy trains homeless and disadvantaged people to become professional baristas. Once qualified with an SCA certification, we aim to get them into full time work on no less that the London Living Wage.
No Plastic Straws
We do not encourage the use of straws full stop. However, for juices and smoothies we offer paper straws which are natural, a by-product from wheat harvesting and are fully biodegradable.
Paper Cups
Customers without their own cup can purchase a reCup—a recyclable paper cup with a mineralised barrier coating, designed for mixed paper and cardboard recycling. Certified by cyclos-HTP under the European Green Dot scheme.
Banking with Purpose
We bank with Triodos, one of the world’s most sustainable banks, focusing on environmental and social change.
Certified B Corporation™
We’re proudly committed to balancing People, Planet, and Profit — using business as a force for good.
Living Wage Employer
We pay at least the London Living Wage, ensuring fair pay for all staff.
Giving Back
Our employees receive paid volunteering days and incentives for community work.
Social Enterprise Partnerships
We support and source from social enterprises that empower people in need.
Eat the Seasons
We source seasonal, local, organic, and Fair Trade produce to reduce food miles and support ethical farming.
Sustainable Tuna
Pole and line caught, guaranteeing responsible fishing practices.
British & Organic Dairy
Our milk and eggs are organic, British, and Red Tractor certified.
Reduced Meat Consumption
Our Chefs can create exciting menus replacing up to 30% plant-based ingredients into your meals, for a healthier lifestyle and helping the environment.
Reusable Cups & Incentives
We encourage and incentivise customers to either use our ceramic mugs which can be washed and reused, or bring their own reusable cups. In fact, we will offer a free coffee with every reusable cup purchased from us.
Chemical-Free Cleaning
We use Toucan Eco, a natural disinfectant made from just water, salt, and electricity, eliminating toxic chemicals and plastic waste.
Coffee Grounds Recycling
Take home used coffee grounds for your garden, skincare, or cleaning. Leftovers are collected by Bio Bean to be turned into coffee logs.
Containers
We encourage reusable containers, but when needed, our bagasse (sugarcane) takeaway containers offer a 100% compostable alternative, breaking down naturally without processing.
Fair Trade Sugar
Loose Fair Trade sugar instead of single-use sachets.
Cutlery
We will always encourage customers to use reusable cutlery. However, when that is not possible, we offer FSC certified birchwood cutlery.
Oil Recycling
All our used cooking oil is collected by Olleco, a leading renewable energy company, and transformed into BioDiesel. This process achieves over 90% greenhouse gas savings compared to traditional fossil diesel, significantly reducing our carbon footprint and contributing to a more sustainable future.
Minimal Packaging
We insist that suppliers reduce excess packaging, and we use eco-friendly alternatives where possible.
Ethical Bottled Water
We provide free water refill stations to reduce plastic waste. Our bottled water choice is Life Water, a non-profit brand that donates 1,000L of clean water per can sold.
The Wastage Guardian
Through this initiative we encourage our chefs to creatively use surplus ingredients, turning potential waste into delicious meals.
Sustainable Napkins
Made from post-consumer waste, bleach-free, and recyclable.
Fair Trade Uniforms
Made from natural cotton, no synthetic fabrics, and printed with eco-friendly water-based inks.
